Finishing

Cut yarn, leaving a length long enough to sew the side seam. Using a yarn needle, thread yarn through the last 11 stitches and remove them from the knitting needle. Draw the stitches tightly together and sew the side seam matching the stitch pattern. The cap is designed to be sewn together with the mattress stitch and the first and last stitch of each row will be hidden in the seam. Cap with turned up brim: When you reach the ribbing, switch the right and wrong sides of your seam, so that the seam will not show when the brim is turned up.

Weave all yarn ends in securely.
