actually, I want to win EQ7 for a friend who enjoys designing.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win! Congratulations on your win too!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I would love to win a copy too! Every time I've tried to design a quilt, I struggled with it, especially the medallion quilt. I know EQ would make it easier! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win - what a wonderful prize! I would like to win EQ7 because I enjoy EQ6 so much, and there are some new features in EQ7 that I can't wait to try. I'm especially interested in drawing my own quilt top grid. I almost never work from a pattern - I see a quilt that interests me and draw it out in EQ6. It allows me to understand the construction methods, and then I can play with fabrics until I see something I like. Most of my quilts are for personal use, although I've sold a few patterns and I give away several on my blog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning! How exciting!!
ReplyDeleteI have EQ5 and I enjoy using it to draw blocks and try different color combinations when I am participating in quilts for friends who need a boost. I also enjoy just doodling, but I hope to use EQ7 to make more charity quilts with all the novelty fabrics that I have acquired.
Congrats again!!!
I would love to win EQ7 because I've been wanting to upgrade from EQ5 for ages! I mostly design quilts to make as gifts for friends and family, but I do also make a few on commission or to sell or exhibit.
ReplyDeleteAll of my quilts to date have been for personal use whether it be to keep, to giveaway, or for charity. I've had EQ5 for ages, but would love to upgrade to EQ7. The new features look great.
ReplyDeleteSusan, I have EQ6 and am learning how to manipulate it. Since I plan on using EQ to do some designing, I'd like to stay current with the technology.
ReplyDeleteThanks for providing a chance to win EQ7.
Gerry
I'd like to use EQ7 to design quilts for myself, my friends and family. The fabric calculations are a big help, as well as the ability to make templates. And I'd also use the two different measuring standards, inches and centimeters, since I live in France!
ReplyDeleteI want to win EQ7 for myself so that I can make beautiful quilts for family and friends. I have wanted this software for almost as long as I have been quilting.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I would love to win a copy too. I have EQ6 and use it mainly to plan quilts for family and friends, but also just to play with blocks, settings and colours. I often say that it's my favourite computer game ;-) I'd love to play with all thenew features in EQ7 and make some exciting new quilts.
ReplyDeleteI thought I already commented on this, but I don't see it so I will try again.
ReplyDeleteI want to use this to design quilts for my grandchildren.
It looks like such a timesaver

I have never used EQ but have been frustrated with the paper and pencil design process and would love to experiment with quilts for family and friends, and patterns I can share on my blog.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win! I would love to learn how to design a quilt. I've had ideas floating in my head, but I've never really translated them into a pattern. It would be so fun to use software that can tell you exactly how much fabric to use and how to lay it all out. Thanks for entering me in your giveaway.

Congratulations on winning EQ7! Why do I want to win EQ7? Because I *love* EQ6!! The new photo capability in EQ7 sounds terrific, and I can hardly wait to try it out. :) I'm not a professional quilter -- I design my quilts only for personal use and for friends and family.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your EQ7 win!! I enjoy designing paper piecing patterns on my EQ6 and I'd love to have version 7!! I'm excited about the new digital features they mentioned.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of EQ7 to use the new features. I have designed only a few quilts and think EQ7 could be the start of something great! Congrats on your winning.
ReplyDeletePlease enter my name in your contest. I make mostly charity quilts and use the EQ wizard right now for my designs, I think the EQ7 would offer me so much more but I am retired and on a limited income and can't afford to buy the program. maybe the winner would want to find a good home for their old software.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win! I would like to use EQ to help add borders to tops I put together and also to figure out a good pattern for a few sets of blocks that I have made as BOM type things.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! I would love a chance to win EQ7. I have the Quilt Design Wizard which is very basic. I love to design memory quilts for family and friends. Please enter me into your drawing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win this EQ7. I actually design quilts for friends, family and myself. I love to design my own quilts and usually use pen and paper and would love a copy of EQ7...thanks so much! I hope I win :)
ReplyDeleteI design quilts for family and friends, charity and I hope someday to be able to sell patterns and design fabrics for one of the great cloth companies. I have a couple of my fabric designs on my blog right now.
ReplyDeletecongrats to you on your win ... way to go ... hopefully iam as lucky as you ... i design quilts for charity mostly ... hopefully ... if i am lucky it will make my life a bit faster and more intresting to come up with new and intresting designs
ReplyDeleteI design an unusual block for non-profit agencies each year for their raffle samplers. I'll have the help of EQ this year for the first time as I have 6.
ReplyDeleteMy other charity quilts are small, toddler size made mostly of strips so they are much easier patterns.
I'd like to say I design for family members but so far have not made much time for that LOL.
Congratulations on winning EQ7.
I had a great time designing a Storm at Sea quilt on EQ5 - it was great to have the fabric and piece lists. Would love to be able to move up to EQ7!
ReplyDeleteOh so lucky, thanks for giving me the chance to win one of these.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win EQ7. I have started quilting and have not used software at all. It would be so marvellous to design on screen and try out colour combinations. Quilting is my hobby but if anyone would like to buy my quilts I'd be happy to make one for them (but it is not a business). Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win EQ7 - I have never used any of their products but have wanted one for awhile now. I would use the it to design quilts for myself, my friends and my family. Thanks for the awesome give away!!!
ReplyDeleteI have EQ 4 but the possibilities are very limited so I would really love to have the EQ 7 version. Jofrid
ReplyDeleteI have EQ6, and am looking forward to upgrading to EQ7. I quilt just for the enjoyment of it. Congrats on winning!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I would like to win EQ7 because I EQ too. I want to try new features in EQ7.
ReplyDeleteI design quilts for myself, family and friends.
I think I could be more innovative if I had EQ7.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win EQ7. I'm not in it for business, just the pure personal pleasure and love of quilts, quilt design, and quilt making.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win Susan.
ReplyDeleteI have never used on EQ product before and I have seen lots of wonderful inspiration using EQ 5 and 6. I think I am ready to be creative with my quilts and EQ7 will help me in those endeavours. SO far I have only made quilts for friends and family. Who knows what I could do with EQ7??
Congratulations on winning EQ7, Susan! Thanks for giving me a chance to win one, too. I design quilts for myself and friends and family and I'd love to be able to design them fast than by hand!
ReplyDeleteCongratulation with your EQ7. Why I want to win a EQ7 is to design some creative quilts for me, my friends and maybe teach others in it. Thanks for the chance :-) Wishing you a great week.
ReplyDeleteI have heard lots of good things about EQ's. I would love to win lucky 7.
ReplyDeleteI've had every version of EQ and can't wait for version 7. Each version is better than the last, I use EQ6 for designing quilts for friends and family as well as charity Quilts.
ReplyDeleteI have EQ6 and would love to upgrade. I use EQ to make almost all my quilts, most for family and friends, or charity.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win!
ReplyDeleteWhen EQ first came out, I didn't think I needed it because I could look at a block and draft it myself, now, the program does so much more.
Congrats on your win. I would like to win a copy of EQ7 because I've never owned any version. Yes, I'm envious and would love to join all the great quilters whose designs I've seen.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to "pay it forward" and encourage others! I have been quilting for over 15 years and I am at the stage where I am ready to design my own. I've seen enough, done enough, now is my time to be creative! Thanks for this opportunity, Edie
ReplyDeleteI design just for myself or for donation quilts. I'd love to win EQ7 to expand my design horizons.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win EQ7, I make quilts for family, friends, charity you name it...I love to quilt! Thanks for the great give-a-way:) Jenna Louise
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! An Electric Quilt 7 GIVE-AWAY! Yay. I love EQ and use it all the time. I design quilts mainly for myself. It's really hand when I participate in a round robin as I can take a picture of the quilt as I receive it, import it and add my own borders. Love the program and would absolutely love to win V7. Thanks for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win because designing is the hardest part of quilting and EQ would make this easier.
ReplyDeleteI design quilts by hand with graph paper all the time! I would love to be able to do it with a computer! Oh, the time I could save....

Congrats on your win!!I would love to win EQ7 as well. After 30+ years of designing with paper & trial & error with fabric, I'd love to design on the computer.
ReplyDeletePhyllis
Congratulations on your win. I would love to learn how to design quilts using EQ7 software.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations with your great win!
ReplyDeletePlease count me in for your drawing!
I love to use EQ6 (updated from EQ5) for all my projects.
I hope to win EQ7. I have EQ 4&5 and have enjoyed designing quilts to make. I have also designed quilts to teach to my students. I can't wait to see all the new features that this program has to offer.
ReplyDeleteI would like to try EQ7 just for personal use, to do some experimenting with design before I sew myself in a corner!
ReplyDeleteI looked at EQ6 a while back, but just couldn't justify the cost when I'm just getting started with quilting (like in the last six months) and I'm only quilting for myself and my family. I love the idea though - it would definitely help me with the logistics of all the fun designs I've got floating around in my head. This is a great giveaway! The folks at EQ must be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win!
ReplyDeleteI've been quilting since 1995 but have never tried to design my own quilts - I've just been afraid to take the plunge I guess. I'd love to win EQ7 because I think it's just the tool I need to give me that courage. :) My husband and I are going on a 4 month mission trip to south Louisiana in about 3 weeks and I will have some "down time" that would be perfect for learning the software! blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteFirst of all congratulations on your win. I would love to win the EQ7, I quilt mainly for myself, friends, family and charity. I been thinking about buying Eq but as of this date have not been able to justify the cost,so if I don't win hopefully I'll be able to buy one soon. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your win. I quilt for myself and to give things away to friends and family. I have never used EQ or any computerized quilting program but I think a lot of fun could be had with it and so fast - currently I use graph paper and coloured pencils. I'd love to win.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all Congratulations on your serendipitous win. Brava!! Second - thanks so much for the wacky rail pattern - it's going to be perfect for some baby quilts I want to make - I'm always looking for new patterns - which brings me to three - I've had EQ since version 2 - I have faithfully upgraded with each version - it's my favourite software and I use even more now that I'm making more quilts for charity - it's such a great programme for auditioning patterns and fabrics. It was indispensable when making larger quilts for my family. And the EQ family is special - I'm lucky to be a member.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Susan
I would love this because I am always trying to simplify quilt blocks for 4-H girls sewing classes. I'm not so good at the math end- especially putting together supply lists for the girls!
ReplyDeleteI love to design my own quilts....art quilts mostly but also for family. It looks like EQ7 would be fabulous to have on my computer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to take part in this contest.
I want to design quilts for the business I'm starting. I heard amazing things about this program and would love to own it.
ReplyDeleteI love Electric Quilt. I use it for designing lots of quilts. Also for designing borders when I am in a Round Robin. I would love to have a newer version of EQ.
ReplyDeleteWow, how great that you won. like your other readers, I would love to win EQ7. I'm still using EQ5.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on winning! I have wanted to purchase EQ for some time now, and haven't had the funds to do that. I make quilts for my friends, family and church. I would LOVE to take my quilt design skills to an entirely new level by winning EQ7! Thanks for this opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI currently use another software package for my designing and am getting frustrated with its limitations. I design on a semi-professional level.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win because I cannot justify the expense of the program for myself, but having used previous versions of EQ I know it will be superb. Thank you for doing this.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a copy of this fabulous program. I have sent you an email as well. Congrats on your win you are very lucky and I hope to be lucky also :) I love designing quilts and table runners and all sorts of applique in the EQ6 that I have. The new features of EQ7 look fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI am desinging a quilt to teahc for the first time in my life and could do with some EQ help!
