It's been a while since I shared anything here. Time just seems to fly. Part of the reason I kept running out of time to blog is that I spent 3 weeks documenting the 10th birthday celebration our Kansas City Project Linus chapter held on Make a Difference Day. You can read and see it all in our KC Project Linus photo gallery. Be sure to look at the photos of the 19 blankets that vied for the honor of being our 40,000th blanket delivered in the metro Kansas City area.
Our third Sunday blanket making group met on November 18, the Sunday before Thanksgiving. The main activity was making Bars quilt tops like the one above. Louise, Lucille, Jodie and Anita made at least 16 Bar quilt tops in 3 hours.
Christy used one of pointless stars kits to make this stained glass quilt top. The Big Horn Quilts website has instructions for the basic Stack and Slash technique that was used.
The photo below is a two-sided quilt that Debby spent the afternoon finishing.
Lucille and Louise's sister, Helen, was visiting and joined us for the afternoon. Helen tied some quilts to finish them. Between the quilts Helen finished, Debby's 2-sided quilt and some finished blankets that were turned in, we had about 8 finished blankets. All in all a pretty productive afternoon.
